Pratik claims he was manhandled by police

-

Actor Pratik Gandhi had an unpleasant experience on the roads of Mumbai on late Sunday evening. Taking to Twitter, he shared that he was manhandled by the police amid security arrangements made for “VIP movement”.

Gandhi, 41, wrote, “Mumbai WEH (Western Express Highway) is jammed coz of ‘VIP’ movement, I started walking on the roads to reach the shoot location and Police caught me by shoulder and almost pushed me in some random marble warehouse to wait till without any discussion. #humiliated.”

Several of his followers reacted to his tweet in agreement while many asked him to understand the situation. As one wrote to him, “The Prime Minister is here,” the Scam 1992 actor responded, “Oops. I didn’t know.”

When contacted, Nitin Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic, West Zone) said, “The tweet is vague with no location or time. Still, we will check and call the actor.”

We reached out to Gandhi as well, but the actor remained unavailable for comment.
