Even before Vivek Anand Oberoi became an actor and made his debut into Hindi cinema with Company (2002), he was offered a film by Kannada movie star, Shiva Rajkumar. But Vivek ended up never doing that film. However, now the actor is all set to make his Kannada film debut with the movie, Rustum that features the Kannada superstar.

“When Vivek was only 16-17 years old, he met Shiva for the first time when the actor was in Mumbai shooting for a film. Vivek went to meet him on his film set with a family friend. He was the first one who offered a film to Vivek. Even though Vivek politely declined since he was not ready for his acting debut then, he was extremely touched by Shiva Rajkumar’s kind gesture. And Vivek always stands by his friends and never forgets the things that they do for him,” a source informs.

“Recently, Vivek was offered a Kannada film again. When he found out this was Shiva’s film, he didn’t even hear the script and immediately agreed to be part of it,” the source added.

Vivek, who is playing the role of a cop in Rustum, says, “I think I was destined to do a film with Shiva anna and I think it will definitely turn out to be a great and one of the most memorable experiences of my career. That’s why I decided to do a special appearance in the film.”
