TAMIL MAANILA CONGRESS TO FACE LOCAL POLLS ALONE

CHENNAI: The GK Vasan-led Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC) on Tuesday announced its decision to face the upcoming local body polls by itself, also scotching speculations of a tieup with the DMK. “A conducive atmosphere has emerged for us to face the local body polls by ourselves,” Vasan said. The TMC also ended its alliance with the DMDK- People’s Welfare Front that was forged for the May 16 assembly election.
