‘BOYCOTT CHINESE PRODUCTS’

DHANBAD: Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha, encouraging his supporters to boycott Chinese lights this Diwali, has bought 1.25 lakh earthen diyas and oil worth `1 lakh and distributed them to encourage the sale of ‘swadeshi’ merchandise.

The BJP legislator has also deputed some priests at the distribution stalls to make people aware about the religious necessity and significance of diyas. “These string lights may twinkle and glitter but they are not in tune with our tradition,” Sinha said.

Terming his decision an “economic strike against China”, the legislator said his workers are also appealing for people to boycott Chinese crackers.
