A WOMAN REGISTERED A COMPLAINT WITH THEM ON MAY 25 ALLEGING THAT HER TWO NEIGHBOURS, ALONG WITH TWO OTHERS, RAPED HER DAUGHTER MULTIPLE TIMES AND SHE HAS BECOME PREGNANT

BHARATPUR: The district police on Sunday arrested two persons who were allegedly on the run in a case of gang-rape of a 13-yearold Dalit minor girl, who had become pregnant following the criminal act, the police said.

The accused were identified as Saddam, 25 and Mamman, 35, resident of a village under the Kaman police station area.

Circle officer of Kaman, Pradeep Yadav said a woman registered a complaint with them on May 25 alleging that her two neighbours, along with two others, raped her daughter multiple times and she has become pregnant.

She said that she came to know about her daughter’s pregnancy after she complained of pain in her stomach and taken to a private hospital on May 23. Doctors at the hospital, after sonography, told her that the girl was 17-week pregnant.

“The girl then told her mother that four months back she was abducted by three of the four accused, who gang-raped her in a mustard field stuffing a cloth in her mouth. Since then, they raped her whenever they found her alone. They threatened the victim to kill her family members if she revealed the fact to anyone,” the police said.

After the complaint, police arrested two of the accused the next day. But Saddam and Mamman ran away from the village.
