GETTING TESTED
Take a test approved by the Government of Japan 72 hours before arrival. Athletes will be tested every four days during their stay in Tokyo.
PLAN YOUR ACTIVITY
Athletes need to submit an activity plan for the first 14 days of their stay—travel (restricted to venues), accommodation and limited additional locations (as defined in List of Destinations, Movement). Athletes will be allowed to leave the Olympic and Paralympic Village (or other designated accommodation) to carry out the activities detailed in their 14-day activity plan Athletes must prepare a list of people they expect to have close contact with during their stay —roommate, coach and physiotherapist, among others.
NO HANDSHAKES
Athletes and officials must not visit gyms outside the village, tourist areas, shops, restaurants or bars. They should avoid unnecessary forms of physical contact such as hugs, high-fives and handshakes. They should wear a face mask at all times, except when training, competing, eating or sleeping, or if they are outside and able to keep a two-metre distance from others.
They should avoid shouting, cheering and singing and find other ways to show their support during competition, such as clapping.
A POSITIVE COVID-19 TEST
In the event of a positive test during the Games, players should isolate immediately. Covid-positive athletes will not be allowed to compete. Those in contact with someone who has tested Covid+ should go for testing immediately. A negative test will allow the athlete to compete as scheduled.
