Chaotic and quirky, tales of Chutzpah for the social media generation
We live in times where a verification mark validates our social status, and a troll decides how a celebrity should behave on social media. Giving us a ‘reality check’ with a hint of quirky madness is SonyLIV’s muchawaited web show Chutzpah.
The series is an intriguing take on ‘What the internet is made of?’. With a cast of talented actors like Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Tanya Maniktala, Elnaaz Norouzi, Gautam Mehra, Diksha Singh, Aashima Mahajan and Kshitij Chauhan, among others, the show revolves around their crazy ‘internet’ lives. From romancing the camera to creating chaos in their lives, they will resonate with today’s youth.
The show also marks Maddocks Outsider’s debut on OTT with SonyLIV. Created by Mrigdheep Singh Lamba and directed by Simarpreet Singh, the series strings together five stories with different flavours, which showcase the digital transformation of one’s identity and the duality of the web world where what’s real and what seems real are two different things. The show has been written by Amit Babbar and Mrighdeep Singh.
Varun Sharma, who will make his OTT debut with Chutzpah, says, “The world of social media has become an integral part of our lives to an extent that people switch personalities for validation.
What’s exciting is the show streams in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam from July 23.”
