SI grew up hearing and reading stories about Indian mythology. I’m a complete geek when it comes to that topic.

SHARVARI, Actor

harvari, who made her big screen debut with Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021) and has two more projects in the pipeline, is now keen on expanding her range as an actor. Confessing her fascination for mythological characters, she says she would love to be a part of a big mythological film in future.

An avid reader of mythological books, the actor shares that as a child, she has read the Bhagwat Gita, several renditions and interpretations of The Mahabharata and Ramayana, too.

“I grew up hearing and reading stories about Indian mythology. I’ve also read numerous books on other mythological tales of India. It would be an absolute dream if I ever get cast in a film on this genre, because I’m a complete geek when it comes to that topic,” shares the actor, who started her journey in showbiz with the web series The Forgotten Army - Azaadi Ke Liye.

Another reason why she wants to explore the world of mythology is that she believes women were always portrayed as feminine yet fierce. “I’d love to play a character that would have such contrasting yet powerful shades to her,” she tells us. Sharvari, who has also assisted on films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Bajirao Mastani (both 2015), says she would “always wonder what it might be to live in such a world”, while reading these tales. “I’m definitely manifesting a big scale mythology film coming my way. Fingers crossed!” she signs off.
