Actor Maanvi Gagroo has a host of OTT projects in hand, including the third seasons of both Four More Shots Please! and Tripling, and a web film. However, she has cut down on films, which is especially surprising as one expected her to go on a signing spree, after her act in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020) received good reviews.

However, Gagroo says, “I am not averse to doing anything else, but right now there is so much happening on the web. A friend told me about audio books, which is really exciting, then I remember somebody started a podcast. An array of things have opened up due to the web space.”

The 33-year-old has certainly come a long way. From doing small roles to now leading projects, has the change been a fulfilling one? Is she satisfied? “There is always a scope to experiment, and there should be, otherwise you stop. Right now, I do feel satisfied with the kind of work I am doing. I am getting to choose work, saying no to some, saying yes to some, and I am really grateful for that. Five to six years ago, I was extremely dissatisfied with the kind of roles I was getting. I am now more content, but I believe there is always room for improvement,” replies Gagroo.

Does the actor feel she has reached a position where she can finally say a ‘no’ comfortably? Gagroo explains, “I have always been open to saying no, especially if it was something I was very sure I didn’t want to do. Earlier, I would do certain things I was not excited about — things you would do just to keep yourself busy, money or to run your household and I would convince myself.”
