CET-B.ED: 3 exam centres changed in Gaya
DARBHANGA: LN Mithila University (LNMU), Darbhanga, the nodal university scheduled to conduct the CET-B.ED 2022 set to be held on July 6, has decided to change three examination centres out of the total 17 centres in Gaya city, said the state nodal officer for CET-B.ED.
Though, the LNMU administration is tight-lipped about the reason behind the change of examination centres, the nodal officer for CET-B. Ed Ashok Kumar Mehta on Wednesday said that the decision to change three examination centres has been taken due to unavoidable circumstances. This year, 16,689 candidates have registered for the examination, including 9,114 male and 7,575 female candidates. There are 4 exam centres for females and 13 centres for male candidates in Gaya.
According to people aware of the development, it is believed that the arrest of a centre superintendent involved in the BPSC paper leak case recently might have promoted the LNMU administration to consider a late decision about changing the examination centres. Among the three centres which have been replaced is Ram Sharan Singh (RSS) Evening College, Gaya, which was recently in news all for the wrong reasons due to the BPSC paper leak case, according to sources. “The principal of the said college was arrested for his alleged involvement in the paper leak case,” said a source. The other two examination centres removed from the list are Buddha Institute of Technology and Aakash World School. “The new examination centres in the city have been notified and candidates have been intimated about it through their registered mobile numbers and through advertisements,” officials said.
A total of 325 examination centers have been set up in 11 cities across the state for the exam.
