State govt selling jobs after land, liquor, mines: Marandi
JAMSHEDPUR: Former Jharkhand chief minister and state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Babulal Marandi has advised incumbent Champai Soren not to follow in the footsteps of arrested Hemant Soren “whose government sold jobs by leaking question papers after selling land, liquor, and mines.”
Marandi was speaking at the launching of BJP Lok Sabha (LS) level election offices at Sanatan Dharmashala, Madhu Bazar, Chaibasa, for Singhbhum, and Sakchi in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.
The BJP chief said 14 such election offices started functioning at 14 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state from Wednesday. “The JMM-Congress-RJD coalition government has been selling jobs to the youths by leaking question papers after selling land, liquor, mines, etc. CM Champai Soren says he is Hemant Part 2. I have a piece of advice for him - if this is the case and he continues with the misdeeds of Hemant, his father will also be the same,” Marandi said.
The state BJP chief said they were confident of winning all the 14 LS seats from the state.
“Last time, we had won 12 out of 14. This time, it will be all 14. PM Narendra Modi has taken the country forward with a priority on development and conserving heritage. During the past ten years, India has reached the verge of becoming the third-largest economy in the world, its diplomatic and military power is now evident, and its place of respect and importance is on display under the PM’s vision and implementation of missions. No doubt about hat-trick - Ab ki baar, 400 paar,” asserted Marandi.
Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, former state president Dr Dineshanand Goswami, state secretary and LS seat convener Nandji Prasad, and district president Sudhanshu Ojha addressed the gathering.
JMM district president Ramdas Soren and Congress district president Anand Behari Dubey could not be contacted for their comments despite repeated calls.
