State party prez Marandi welcomes Sita into party
BJP State President Babulal Marandi welcomed Sita Soren’s decision to leave JMM and join the BJP. He said her pain and suffering were clearly visible in the poignant letter written to her father-in-law and JMM chief Shibu Soren on her decision to leave JMM.
“Sita Soren was facing harassment from her party and family members for years. There is a limit to tolerating insults. Sita Soren is the elder daughter-inlaw of Shibu Soren and wife of late Durga Soren ji. Durga Soren supported Guruji like a shadow and fought in the Jharkhand movement. Had Durga Soren been alive, he would have been the chief ministerial candidate in JMM. But Sita Soren’s pain is that Durga Soren’s struggle was forgotten. And those who did not struggle are reaching the top. Therefore Sita Soren’s resentment is natural,” Marandi said.
Marandi said apart from the activities of the party, Sita ji was also upset with the state government led by JMM. “From the streets to the House, she continuously protested against the water, forest, land, water, forest, etc. She vocally raised questions on the looting of mines, minerals, sand and stones. She openly opposed oppression and corruption. Seeing no scope for improvement in the attitude of the government, she chose a different path for himself. She was impressed by Modi ji’s poor welfare schemes and his resolve to fight against corruption.
Marandi said BJP had become stronger by entry of Sita and it would help pave way for 14 Lok Sabha seats of Jharkhand in NDA’s account.
Meanwhile, JMM spokesperson Surpriyo Bhattacharya expressed his concern over Sita Soren decision of hurriedly leaving the party organising a press conference.
“She should have given us time to sort the matter,” he said before informing that that party had got information about her concern and had communicated to Shibu Soren regarding this. “Guru Ji assured us to sort out the issue saying it was his family member but before this could have happened information came that she joined BJP,” he said.
On the impact on the party, Bhattacharya said: “Even a common worker leaving the party is not good but after the Supreme Court decision we were expecting such action as everyone is not like Hemant soren.”
Bhattacharya said due to such a development situation has become such worse in BJP that the party workers have started searching ‘Jansanghi Khatiyan’ as majority of leaders in the party during the last 10 years have come in the similar way.
He said it is the strategy of BJP to bring workers from other political parties and money from corporates using power of central agencies like IT, CBI and the ED.
