RANCHI: The Jasidih police station in Deoghar district has registered a first information report (FIR) against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Godda MP Nishikant Dubey for allegedly attempting to usurp the Paritran Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) land, officials close to the developments said on Monday.

A police official aware of the matter said on Monday that Bawanbigha resident and Paritran Trust secretary Shivdutta Sharma took legal action after the situation arose for the auction of PMCH land, which could not be started due to legal issues, and the management of the educational institution failed to repay a loan amount of ₹93 crore, which it had taken from the bank by mortgaging the PMCH land.

“Sharma, in his FIR, explained how Dubey allegedly conspired to auction the PMCH land for ₹60 crore and thus attempted to usurp it. The FIR was registered on March 28 under sections 406, 409, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Apart from Dubey, those named

in the FIR include his wife Anamika Gautam, Vimal Agrawal, Vir Agrawal, Punit Agrawal, and Devta Panday, all associated with Baidyanath Medical Trust,” the police official said.

In the FIR, a copy of which is with HT, Sharma alleged how Dubey first won his confidence to take all the PMCH-related documents before paving the path for the auction of the PMCH by forming Baidyanath Medical Trust for just Rs 60 crore.

“.......... While I was trying to settle this matter with the Bank by making a fresh proposal for settlement on 18/12/2023, I came to know in the afternoon that the DRT PNB had notified the auction and Baba Baidyanath Medical Trust is the sole bidder. Then, I realised that the accused Nishitarily kant Dubey and his wife Anamika Gautam deceived me by misappropriating my documents/valuable security ...... ,” a portion of the FIR read.

Nishikant, who is BJP’s candidate for the Godda constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, confirmed the FIR against him, saying it was filed with malafide intentions.

“The said FIR has been instituted with malafide intention only because the property situated at Village Mohanpur, measuring an area of 26 acres and 50 decimals along with land, buildings, structures including all movable items, medical machines and equipment, hospital fixtures, and furniture belonged to M/s Paritran Medical College and Hospital was purchased by Baba Baidyanath Medical Trust, wherein my wife is one of the trustees. The informant is the secretary of M/s Paritran Medical College and Hospital. I informed the chief of the Election Commission of India (ECI) requesting proper action in the matter as earlier also the local administration registered false cases against me,” he said, sharing his letter to ECI on March 31.
