JAIPUR: The Bharatiya Janata Party will win all the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan, said Union Jal Shakti minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Friday after casting his vote.

Shekhawat is also the BJP candidate from Jodhpur and he is squaring off against Congress candidate Karan Singh Uchiarda.

He said, “Today marks a pivotal moment for the maturing democracy of India. We anticipate a substantial rise in voter turnout, reflecting the growing engagement of our citizens in the electoral process.”

“I am confident that we will secure a resounding victory in the Jodhpur seat. With unwavering resolve, I affirm that the BJP will triumph in all 25 Lok Sabha seats of Rajasthan,” he said.

Talking to reporters, he said that BJP has “continuously worked with the resolve of making a developed India in the last 10 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.

“On the one hand, the BJP has implemented welfare schemes with completeness and integrity and on the other hand, 250 million people have been taken out of poverty. Not only this...while securing the country’s borders... making the country economically prosperous, the BJP has also succeeded in establishing the country’s reputation throughout the world,” he said.

He said: “This election is to lay the foundation stone of a developed India and while the BJP will win with a huge majority in Jodhpur, all the 25 seats in Rajasthan and the entire country will cross the 400-mark for Modi...for the third consecutive term”.

Commenting on his remarks, Congress spokesperson Swarnim Chaturvedi said, “We will win more seats than the Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan. The earlier Congress governments in state and the Centre had worked to strengthen the country and its economy.” He added that the people are “fed up with PM Narendra Modi and his false promises”.
