‘MY KIDS HAVE GIVEN KAABIL 9.5 ON 10’

Alot has been written about Hrithik Roshan’s personal life last year. However, the actor’s focus is entirely on the release of his next film, Kaabil. “Though there is a lot of chaos, there is also excitement,” says Hrithik, as he describes his current state of mind. This isn’t the first time that he is playing an intense role, (he plays a visually impaired character) but by his own admission, he thoroughly enjoys the hard work that goes into preparing for a role. “I am doing a film with so much depth after a very long time, so this feels even more special. Some films and characters stimulate your mind to such an extent that you feel dazed. As an actor, you get to live several lives and I absolutely enjoy every bit of becoming the character and then letting it go. It is beautiful,” says the actor. The action sequences in Kaabil have also been designed keeping in mind that the protagonist is visually impaired. His character has no superpowers and does not know martial arts or stunts, so it had to look realistic. In fact, the team decided against rehearsing for the sequences. “I am an actor and I have no qualms in letting go of my image – sexy, macho, stylish, et al. If a film or a photoshoot requires me to go shirtless, I will work towards that, but that’s not the real me. Similarly, I can change my appearance for a role – put on weight, lose it, anything that is required of me,” the 43-year-old actor says talking about the changes he incorporated in his body language for the role. professional commitments, he hasn’t compromised on spending quality time with kids, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. His kids, too, take an equal amount of interest in their father’s films. “They rated it a 9.5 on 10 after seeing the trailer (laughs). They want to watch the film. This will be the first film they’ll be watching with the entire family, so I am sure they’re excited. Bang Bang (2014) is their favourite, but they are also interested in Krrish (2016). They love giving ideas. In fact, I have asked them to help dad to sketch out the villian’s role in the next part of Krrish,” says Hrithik.
