Saif Ali Khan has always been considered one of the most polished and suave actors around. His wife, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, admires his traits. She said on a chat show that “There’s no one like Saif. The combination of being so mentally and physically sexy is not possible. I think he was the last of that era.” The actor takes his wife’s compliment modestly. “Bebo was being very kind. It was a very sweet thing to say. She is my wife, so it’s nice if she thinks that. But I’m sure there are lots of amazing people everywhere, and it’s not just me (laughs),” he says. The actor believes that at 46, you are grounded, as you are aware of the past, and you are contemporary too. “You have a sense of the world gone by and the present world too. There is a small window, wherein you are young as well as aware of the past. Kareena meant something like that,” he says. Ask him how he feels about people calling his son Taimur extremely goodlooking ever since his picture came out in public, and he says, “There is so much pressure on kids to be good looking. I just hope he is a good guy. He is not the only star kid in town. But sometimes people make it difficult and some sections of the press give too much attention. So, it’s hard to be normal but I guess that goes with the territory. I think I was quite normal, or probably not (laughs).” Apart from acting, books, music and sports keep him busy. “Everything resonates more with me than it used to. My mind is richer than it was but there are people who are far better and smarter than me in every way. But I’m happy that I can keep myself busy,” he says.
