English actor Damian Lewis (above) says he was diagnosed with an ear infection a few hours before the opening night of his play The Goat. The 46-year-old actor has revealed the contamination affected him so much that he feared he was about to faint on stage, reported The Telegraph. “There was this cold that was passed around the company in the last five weeks. I had this streaming cold. The catarrh transferred into my ear,” informs Lewis. “I went to a doctor at about three o’clock and he said, ‘You’ve got a big hole in your eardrum and an infection of the middle ear,” he adds. “I was high as a kite on performance-enhancing drugs, which luckily aren’t illegal in the theatre. But I’ve got pain in my right ear at the moment because of the pressure,” he concludes. Yasika Mathur

kids but a little more now because I see my grandson grow everyday. I’m happy to see that in this day and age, there are many opportunities for the youngsters. So, I do connect with children,” says the 57-year-old. Boman, the grandfather to the nine-month-old Ziaan, reveals that watching his first grandchild grow is an amazing experience and adds, “I spend a lot of time in the morning and evening with my grandson Ziaan, and it’s a feeling, which can’t be expressed in one interview. Watching him grow is a beautiful, poetic feeling.” Talking about his experience as part of a reality show for the first time in his career, Boman says, “It is an entertaining show and children are out there doing their thing. The best thing about this show is that it has a guru shishya format, which will have the kids learn a lot.” Ask if children can get under pressure to perform on a reality show, Boman says, “There are extracurricular activities in school, and then academic and creative activities. I don’t look at it as work, as they enjoy performing or preparing for singing competition. That is how it is going to be in this show.”
