Actor Daisy Shah, who made her Bollywood debut opposite actor Salman Khan in Jai Ho (2014), says she has learned a lot from him. Salman’s “straightforward attitude towards life and honesty of calling a spade a spade” is something that inspires Daisy, who is currently touring with the superstar for his overseas entertainment show. “He is a very genuine person — not fake at all. He supports the truth and says whatever is supposed to be said. He is someone who’ll go to any extent to help people around him,” says the actor, who is known to be close to the star. She further explains, “I have rarely seen someone as honest as him. If he likes something, he will say it on your face, and if he doesn’t, then also he’ll put it straight without thinking twice.” Like Salman, she also doesn’t lie to please people to get her work done. She adds she would love to work with Salman if something comes up in the future. Meanwhile, the actor has just finished shooting for a film directed by Gujarati filmmaker Govind Sakariya, who marks his Bollywood debut with the film. Daisy, who has done a few Kannada films in the past, is keen on doing more regional films, but has not been getting enough offers. She cites the reason for it: “I guess I don’t fit into their budget anymore.”
