They are your perfect travel companions. “When you are travelling, you don’t want to wear anything which is difficult,” says designer Nida Mahmood, adding, “Moreover, normcore is our coolest trend, every segment of fashion is following it.” Normcore includes dressing up in an understated, ‘normal’ way to make a statement. Travel today is about marrying style with comfort, says designer Nachiket Barve. Any tips for styling the dress? “It’s best to wear it with flat shoes, like sketchers. You can pair it with a waist-length jacket and boots,” says designer Nikhita Tandon. Nida’s advice is to style it with accessories, like a neckpiece or a backpack. “It will be nice to wear a shirt collar as a neckpiece that can be buttoned on the front. It adds value to a basic silhouette,” she says. However, there are some pointers to keep in mind. “What it needs, is to not make it look hyper casual. The right kind of accessories are important. A statement heel can add a little bit of edge to the look. A nice liner and a top knot looks great too,” says Barve. So you can DIY too, and take some online guidance.
