Taapsee Pannu takes an urgent flight back to Delhi

- Yashika Mathur

Actor Taapsee Pannu is glad to have worked with an understanding filmmaker like David Dhawan, who supported her during the shoot of Judwa 2, in London. The director shot her part first so that she could reach Delhi in time for her best friend’s wedding. “My close friend from college was getting married in the first week of May, and I had no option but to make it to his wedding,” she says. Thankfully, I had a half day of shooting a day before, so I requested David sir to shoot it in the first half, so I could take a flight immediately after that,” shares Taapsee, who will reprise actor Karisma Kapoor’s role in the sequel to Judwaa (1997). She adds, “I can’t imagine missing my best friend’s wedding. I’m happy I could make it, and thankful that I’m working with someone like David sir, who understood my situation and allowed me to finish my part a little early than the scheduled time.” Taapsee, who got critical acclaim for films such as Pink (2016) and Naam Shabana, is co-starring with actors Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez. “It was a great experience.we had a great time shooting for the film. I hope we are able to live up to the expectations built up by the prequel. It’s not easy, but we are giving our best shot,” she says.
