Actor Deepak Dobriyal (right) loves to shoot for his films in Delhi. Hailing from Uttrakhand, the actor has shot in the Capital for many films such as Delhi 6 (2008), Tanu Weds Manu (2010) and he once again came to the city for his next film, which also stars actors Raima Sen, Parvin Dabas and Gulshan Devaiyah. “There is some thing really personal and there’s a kind of earthiness whenever I am shooting in the Capital. I always love to shoot here,” says Deepak. The Omkara (2006) actor recalls a sequence when he shot on Delhi roads late into the night. “This was an interesting scene where my character has to go late night in search of some curious little thing [that] his pregnant wife desires, when all shops are closed. So we shot the scene at around 2am in the night. We wanted a real location to resemble his local access area. As Delhi is always full of people, the challenge was to shoot with no soul in sight,” shares Deepak. The scene didn’t take more than 30 minutes to finish, he adds, “The beauty of the scene would have been lost if there were people. So, we waited until there was absolutely no one awake strolling on the streets till 2 am. The scene was filmed in Ghitorni near Chhattarpur. It was seamless and effortless. I am very pleased how it has come out,” adds the actor.
