‘SRIDEVI IS WORLD’S BEST ACTRESS’

Both the actors have immense respect for each other’s craft and are thrilled to work together

Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui (left), who will be seen in his next film Mom with Sridevi (inset), says that according to him, she is the world’s best actor. “My admiration for her (Sridevi) was way before I thought of working with her,” says Nawazuddin, who is playing a pivotal role in the film. For the 43-year-old actor, the significance of a role is not defined by its length. In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, Nawaz said, “For me, a role is a role. It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small, as long as it is good. It gives me more visibility as an actor and that’s what I am here for. Money was never my criteria to become an actor. Plus, ‘good-looking’ is such a subjective term. God has made everyone different yet equal, so who are we to differentiate and call someone conventional or unconventional?” With all praise for the English Vinglish actor, he adds, “If one gets a chance to work with such a brilliant actor, who will think of leaving the opportunity? Same was my case and I personally believe that Srideviji is world’s best actress.” During the trailer launch of Mom, Sridevi even expressed her admiration for the actor and went on saying that she has a lot of respect for him. After the hiatus, the 53-year-old, who marked her comeback in 2012, is all set to impress with her mettle yet again in the intense drama.
