Aneri finds support in co-star Jennifer Winget

- Anjuri Nyar Singh

Actor Aneri Vajani was recently trolled for a bikini picture that she posted on Instagram for International Yoga Day. The actor was body-shamed for being skinny and dressed inappropriately. Following this, her Beyhadh co-actor Jennifer Winget came out in support of Aneri. “Telling someone they’re skinny is the same as telling someone they’re fat— neither are nice things to say. And when you have nothing nice to say, it’s best not to say anything at all. By shaming each other, we’re shaming ourselves. We work hard in our jobs, just as anyone in any other profession, and at the end of the day, the last thing we want is to bother about what people think about us. If you don’t approve, just unfollow us. That’s easy!” says Jennifer. Although she has not met Aneri after the incident, Jennifer says that she isn’t someone who gets bothered by such things. “We’re shooting as usual, but at different locations, so I haven’t met her yet. But from what I know of Aneri, I can say for sure that she hasn’t let this affect her or her work, the slightest bit. Neither the post nor the comments will make, break or change her as a person. She is the energy on set and she’s not one to let anybody else’s opinions determine her self worth,” says Jennifer. After the incident, Aneri posted an apt reply for everyone who trolled her. Many television actors such as Sonarika Bhadoria and Nia Sharma have been trolled in the past for posting bikini pictures and Jennifer says she can’t understand why this happens. “The bikini has been around for eons, and I can’t believe we haven’t moved on from it. But then again, when was it ever about the bikini, it was always about the actor wearing it! “says Jennifer.
