Aamir still reeling from ‘piercing’ pain

- Prashant Singh

It’s no secret the kind of effort Bollywood’s ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ Aamir Khan puts in to get into the skin of any character he plays onscreen. His drastic body transformations were visible in films such as Ghajini (2008), Dhoom:3 (2013) and Dangal (2016). And now, for his new film, Thugs of Hindostan, Aamir has not only lost a lot of weight, but also underwent “painful” procedures. We mean, nose and ear piercings! Although it has been a month since Aamir went for piercings, it’s “still painful” and the actor has been experiencing “a few sleepless nights”, says an insider. “It’s well-known how painful nose piercing can be. And Aamir has gone for two upper ear piercings (on his right ear), too, which also cause a lot of pain as they have been done on the cartilage bone. On the sets, he screams in pain even when someone touches it by mistake. He isn’t able to sleep on his right side at all,” adds the insider. The look is the demand of the script of the film. “It’s just a glimpse of what Aamir has done physically,”

ON THE SETS OF HIS [UPCOMING] FILM, AAMIR SCREAMS IN PAIN WHEN SOMEONE TOUCHES HIS PIERCINGS BY MISTAKE, SAYS AN INSIDER

says a source close to the 52-year-old actor. Aamir’s nose-pierced look became the talk of town last month, when he made an appearance at an event. At the time, he sported small studs. Now, he’s wearing bigger ones in his nose and right ear, even though the skin may not have healed completely since the piercing. “This never-seen-before avatar of Aamir in films has already created a lot of intrigue among fans and film enthusiasts,” says the insider. Aamir couldn’t be reached for a comment.
