Mithila can’t wait to meet Irrfan

- Shreya Mukherjee

Web sensation Mithila Palkar is on cloud nine. The actor is quite excited to star in a film alongside Irrfan and Malayali actor Dulquer Salmaan. The untitled film narrates the tale of friends on a road trip and would be helmed by debutante Akarsh Khurana. “This is a great opportunity for me. I have no words to explain my excitement,” says Mithila, who had earlier played Imran Khan’s sister in Katti Batti (2015). Mithila shares she can’t wait to meet Irrfan. “I will be living my fan girl moment when I will meet him for the first time. He is known for his craft and is one of the finest actors we have. I have always enjoyed watching his films. It would be great fun collaborating with him and Dulquer. And I also hope that I don’t get intimidated by such personalities,” she says. The actor, known for web series Girl In The City and Little Things, has already met Dulquer. “He is a super star, yet a genuinely humble person. We met a couple of times. Most of our conversation was around the film and the characters we portray,” says Mithila adding that she plans to take down a lot of acting notes when she begins shooting with Irrfan and Dulquer. Mithila shot to fame with her Marathi cup song Hi Chal Turu Turu. Even director Imtiaz Ali shared the video and praised her. Asked if she plans to also try her hand at playback, the actor says that she doesn’t have any such plan as of now. “But I would definitely love to work with Imtiaz Ali. I mean who doesn’t? I also want to work with directors such as Vishal Bhardwaj, Anurag Kashyap and Anurag Basu,” adds Mithila, whose recent released debut Marathi film Muramba has also done well.
