8 BIG ACTS ARE COMING SOON TO INDIA

- Samarth Goyal

India is fast becoming the top destination for popular international acts. After Coldplay last year and Justin Bieber earlier this year, the last three months of 2017 will see at least eight international acts holding their own shows here or performing at music festivals. On October 8, the popular progressive metal act, Dream Theatre, will be performing for the first time — they have a show in Mumbai as part of their 25th anniversary tour. Popular American singersongwriter Jason Derulo and EDM (electronic dance music) bigwig Martin Garrix will headline the fest Time Out 72 (December 27-29), at Vagator, Goa. “I’ve heard phenomenal stories about India and I’m extremely excited to be performing [in India],” an excited Derulo told us earlier. Dutch trance king Armin Van Buuren will perform at Aamby Valley City in Lonavala, Maharashtra, as part of the Enchanted Valley Carnival (December 16-17). American music producer Kshmr is coming for a fivecity tour, starting in Delhi on October 20 and culminating in Mumbai on October 29. “Words can’t express how excited I’m to be returning to India. I’ve made some special remixes,” he had told us. French music producer DJ Snake is coming for the third time to be a part of the Sunburn music festival (December 28-31). The fest will also host British electronic act, Clean Bandit, makers of the popular song Rockabye. The highlight of all the crowd-pleasing visits is that of English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. The Shape of You singer will perform in Mumbai on November 19. This is the Grammy-winning singer’s second performance in India; his maiden concert took place in Mumbai in 2015.

Kapil has done so well for four years and made so many people laugh. If the man is asking for a two-month break, let’s give it to him KIKU SHARDA, ACTORCOMEDIAN
