I am very ambitious and greedy: Rasika

Actor Rasika Dugal is happy that she is busy with so many projects, especially web-series that allow her to reach out to a wider audience

Actor Rasika Dugal has steadily made a name for herself on every entertainment medium, be it television, films or web. Making her film debut with Anwar (2007), she went on to star in films such as Qissa (2015), Hijack (2008) and Tahaan (2008). Dugal feels that every medium deserves equal attention from actors. “In acting, you need to approach everything equally. Films have been my first love, because I am an old-school theatre-going romantic! I would always keep that in my life,” says the actor who has worked with several critically acclaimed actors such as Irrfan Khan, Tisca Chopra and Adil Hussain. “But I also enjoyed the kind of space the web allows. There is no censorship, so you can experiment so much. Also, a lot of my work has reached out to a much wider audience through it. My short film Chutney currently has 100 million views, I had never imagined my work could reach out to so many people,” she says. But she feels that doing television is beneficial in the long-run. “My experience has been limited with television. I was there in P.O.W.- Bandi Yudhh Ke. In a film, you shoot for about two months at the most, but on television I shot for around six months, so you get a lot of time to build your character and learn.” The 32-year-old, who

Actors rarely feel so! I am very greedy and ambitious that way. With every project I do, I feel I can do much better,” says Dugal.
