What pressure is Mohammad Nazim under?
Actor Mohammad Nazim is a household name after he shot to fame with his portrayal of Ahem Modi on the long-running show Saath Nibhana Saathiya. However, the actor is feeling a different pressure altogether, these days. “I went to an event recently, where I talked about how we need to make India, a cleaner India. Aapki responsibility banti hai. I am conscious of every little thing now. Like earlier, I’d sometimes throw a candy wrapper or anything carelessly out of the car, but I avoid doing it now,” says Nazim, who recently received a letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inviting him to join the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Being a celebrity has put more pressure on him to set an example for his fans. “Pressure badh gaya hai. People notice everything you say in your interviews, and the stuff you do in real-life. So I am ensuring that I live up to the expectations everyone has from me.” He shares how excited he was, upon reading the letter. “It is a superb feeling that the Prime Minister himself has sent me this invitation, because yeh koi chhoti cheez nahi hai. First I didn’t believe when everyone told me at home about it. Sabko khud itni excitement thi, jab maine dekha then I finally believed!” says Nazim. The 33-year-old is a selfprofessed fitness enthusiast, and is prepping to play the role of Sohail Khan’s brother on a TV show based on the life of wrestler Gama Pehelwan.
