Ridhi likes being a TV face
In the day and age where television actors are vigorously trying their luck in Bollywood to get a break, actor Ridhi Dogra says that she doesn’t like to be a part of the rat race. Ridhi, who has been working on the small screen for a decade, says, “I like being a part of the television industry and being known as an Indian TV face. I don’t look down upon it.” She adds, “I’m aware of its shortcomings. I know that there’s a divide in what they show on television and what is happening in the real world. But I enjoy being the person who bridges the gap. I make sure that the character is real, and people can identify with it,” says Ridhi, adding, “I love being part of the industry. I would like to tell people that we are cool and we are equally good.” Married to actor Raqesh Vashisth, Ridhi has certain expectations from the film industry. “The kind of creative satisfaction that I get from television, I would want that in films too. I like to explore, irrespective of the medium,” says the actor. Ridhi says that she is still open to all kinds of good work. “I want to work in all mediums. I’m kind of an outsider. I don’t know beyond the casting process, what helps you cut it, but apart from that I’d want to see myself on the big screen, but I don’t think I’m missing anything,” she says.
