With lockdown relaxations allowing people to venture out of their houses, celebrities are using the opportunity to get some fresh air and revive their fitness regimen as they opt for a quick walk or jog outdoors. Actor Neha Dhupia took to Instagram to share her experience of going for a morning run after 80 days and termed it “a mixed bag of emotions”. Actors Rahul Bose, Ali Fazal, Nushrat Bharucha, Tara Sutaria, Rakul Preet Singh and Georgia Andriani, too, stepped out for a quick walk or run, while actor Dino Morea chose to cycle with a friend.
Experts believe that being able to step out to exercise has a positive effect on our mind and body. “Nothing can be compared with exercising in the open air while soaking in some sun. When toxins come out of the body in the form of sweat, it makes one feel refreshed,” says Kalpana Sharma, yoga and fitness expert. Meanwhile, actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Neil Nitin Mukesh have also been jogging, but within their building premises. Neil tells us, “A few days back, our society allowed adults to use the park. Rukmini (his wife) and I have been going out regularly to run. It feels good to meet people even from a distance.”
Fitness expert Harsh Dhiman also endorses stepping out for exercise but advises caution. “It s good till everyone is following physical distancing. Avoid crowded places, wear masks and carry sanitiser,” Dhiman adds.
