Shlokka Pandit vows to support her driver’s family

- Sugandha Rawal

Shlokka Pandit is going through a distressing time after suddenly losing her driver of 20 years, who was like family to her. And the actor has decided to support his kin in every way possible.

“Ali bhai was a part of our family. He had taken so much care of me. He would always ask if I had food and how my day was going. He was super safe to be around and would be there at all odd hours too. He was very close to us,” Pandit shares while recalling the time spent with him.

Her driver passed away earlier this month after complaining of a mild uneasiness, which turned out to be a deadly infection in his pancreas.

“He felt uneasy in the evening, so he was sent home. Then his family took him to the hospital and the next day we hear that he is no more,” Pandit tells us about the unfortunate incident, adding, “It was a shock. I could not even believe what I was hearing. His family is now ours and we would take care of them by all means.”

The Hello Charlie (2020) actor adds that her driver had been working for the family since she was six years of age. “It was a big blow to all of us, and he was just 49. My mother also sent some things after his demise, though we like to be low-key about it. We will make sure we provide them with anything they need, including monetary aid as well. I will also help his son get placed because he is educated. We will help them in whatever way we can. And just be there with them,” she concludes.
