RBSE Humanities results: Govt schools fare better

Thirty-seven students from India Internatio­nal School (IIS), Jaipur, scored full CGPA points of 10.

“I am pleased with my results and I wish to study aeronautic­al engineerin­g from a university aboard,” said Dhruv Garg, a student of India Internatio­nal School, who scored full CGPA points.

Divya, another student of IIS, who also scored full CGPA of 10 points, said she wants to pursue law after her Class 12 board exams.

Twenty-two students of Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya scored full CGPA points while eight students from Seedling High School and 22 from Warren Academy.

Girls from Navodaya vidyalayas outperform­ed boys with an overall percentage of 97.52. Amongst the Navodaya vidyalayas, Jawahar Navoday Vidyalaya with an overall pass percentage of 98.89, topping schools in the region followed by private-run schools with 97.75%, government­run schools with 96.05% and Kendriya Vidyalayas with a pass percentage of 97.39. AJMER) JAIPUR: Fifteen girls figured in the top 20 merit list of Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education’s Class 12 humanities results on Saturday, while government schools fared better than their private counterpar­ts this year.

A total of 5,47,768 students appeared for the exams in 5,130 centers across Rajasthan. The examinatio­ns were held from March 3 to 29. The overall pass percentage was 86.51% this time.

Girl recorded a pass percentage of 89.31% compared to 84.24% of boys. “Girls have performed better than boys this year with 15 students out of the top 20 going to them. The pass percentage of government schools was 88.24% and the pass percentage of private schools was 88.15%,” School education minister Vasudev Devnani said.

But not all was lost for boys as Rakesh Gurjar from Malpura, Tonk topped the list with 95.80%. Dinesh Kumawat from Jhunjhunu, Seema Saini from Sanganer and Devhuti Godara from Sanghar jointly came second with 95. 20%. Devanshi Raj Goyar was third with 95%.

A cattle breeder’s son, Rakesh credits his success to his school principal Girdhar Singh for motivating him throughout the exams. “It was because of the confidence my principal and my parents had in me that I was able to score a high percentage. Now, I intend to study in the University of Rajasthan and later join administra­tive services,” Rakesh said.
