Coming up: Tom Ford Women, Versace Collection
NEW DELHI: You will soon be able to buy Tom Ford Women and Versace Collection at malls and shopping centres in the country. While a Tom Ford product is likely to cost you above ₹3,000, Versace will be priced at ₹2,000-8.000.
As the appetite for luxury and premium brands swells in India, the two are looking to set up brick-and-mortar stores in the country by 2016end. Both brands will house their first outlets at Emporio, DLF’s upcoming luxury mall at Chanakyapuri, Dinaz Madhukar, senior vice-president of DLF Promenade and DLF Emporio malls, told HT.
Tom Ford Men is already present in India.
Tom Ford Women, a New York-based fashion brand launched by designer Tom Ford three years ago globally, designs, manufactures and retails apparel, accessories, fragrances, sunglasses, shoes, and cosmetics. In India, Tom Ford Women will be marketed and franchised by DS Luxury Retail Ltd, the luxury retail arm of FMCG major Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group), which also has franchise rights for Tom Ford Men.
“The brand sees immense potential in India. As of now the plan is to have one store in Delhi,” said Praveen Saharya, director, DS Luxury Retail Ltd.
Italian luxury fashion brand Versace is launching its prêt brand — Versace Collection. It will retail products for both men and women.
The company is already present in India with its ultra-luxurious brand — Versace, which produces upmarket Italian-made ready-towear and leather accessories. Apart from this, Versace also offers other labels, including Versace Collection, Versus Versace and Versace Jeans.
Versace Collection will be marketed and sold via OSL Luxury Collection Pvt Ltd.
“Our first store will be in Delhi, followed by one in Bangalore and Mumbai. The Mumbai store might take time as we are yet to finalise a location, since two new malls are likely to come up — one by RIL and the other by Makers Max City. In Bangalore, we plan to open our store at UB City Mall,” said Salesh Grover, business head, OSL Luxury Collection Pvt Ltd.
