technologies and systems based on reverse osmosis, forward osmosis, solar energy based membrane system and multistage flash distillation. He explained how the technologies can be economically utilised for providing safe drinking water, effluent treatment, recycling and reuse of waste water. He also emphasised on the challenges likely to be faced in future with respect to water availability.
Local Organising Committee chairman Ravindra Kumar welcomed the delegates and emphasised on the importance of water purification technologies to ensure availability of good quality drinking water to the armed forces operating in the Thar.
He said the conference will continue to provide a common platform to researchers, armed forces and the industry to discuss water-related issues and their solutions.
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has projected a credit potential of ₹1.72 lakh crore by banks in Rajasthan for 2017-18.
A focus paper released by state chief secretary Prakash Meena at the State Credit Seminar 2017-18, organised by Nabard on Wednesday, revealed that the credit potential is 14% higher than the projection made for the previous fiscal.
Sarita Arora, chief general manager, Nabard said, “The state credit plan was prepared with an aim to double farmers’ income by 2022 as envisaged by the Prime Minister.”
“Three new chapters on doubling of farmers’ income by 2022, skill development and climate change were included in the focus paper for 2017-18”.
