2 militants killed in J&K while trying to ambush police

Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday claimed to have killed two militants in south Kashmir's Awantipora. While the police control room refused to furnish any details, director general of police SP Vaid tweeted about the alleged encounter.

Vaid said that some IPS officers, while on their way to Awantipora, were “ambushed by terrorists”.

“The daring officers’ retaliatory fire killed both the terrorists,” he tweeted.
