Kota proves again why it is favourite for JEE aspirants

has once again proved its mettle with the JEE Mains 2017 results with a large number of students from different coaching institutes bagging top ranks.

RK Verma, managing director, of Resonance Coaching Institute, Kota said that so far 10 students from their institute have bagged all India ranks (AIR) in the top 100. Udaipur’s Kalpit Veerwal, who scored full marks and clinched the All India Rank 1 in the Joint Entrance Examinatio­n (JEE) Main 2017, is a student of the Udaipur branch of Resonance Coaching. Apart from him, 17-year-old Vishwajeet Aggarwal from Orai (Uttar Pradesh) from the same institute clinched the fifth all-India rank.

Allen Career Institute also bagged success. Director of Allen Career Institute, Kota, Brajesh Maheshwari said that 20 students from the institute have bagged all India ranks in the top 100, including two students who came tenth and thirteenth.

Career Point Institute of Kota has also claimed success. Their student Sameer Pandey has bagged AIR 68 rank while Arichman Daka has secured AIR 21 in the scheduled caste category.

Director of Bansal Classes of Kota, AK Tiwari said that their student Asit Shrivastav­a has bagged AIR Rank 285 and the results are being compiled after which an exact list of toppers from institute can be given.

The cutoff of JEE Mains 2017 has remained 81 in general category, 49 in other backward castes (OBC) category, 32 marks for scheduled castes and 27 marks for scheduled tribe category. Most institutes claimed that since the results are being compiled they can give a final tally from their respective institutes later.
