From Kota coachings, 39K qualify for JEE Advanced

OF THE TOP 100 ALL INDIA RANKS, 48 STUDENTS ARE FROM KOTA INSTITUTES, CLAIMED COACHING INSTITUTES OF KOTA

More than 39,000 students, taking coaching in Kota, have cleared JEE Mains 2017, the results of which were declared on Thursday, coaching institutes claimed.

Of the top 100 All India Ranks (AIR), 48 students are from Kota institutes, they said. The qualified students will appear in the JEE Advanced to be held on May 21. Kalpit Veerwal from the Udaipur branch of Resonance Eduventure­s Private Limited, with its main centre at Kota, clinched the AIR 1 by scoring 100% marks. Vishwajit Aggarwal of the institute got AIR 5.

Resonance managing director RK Verma claimed 12148 of their students have qualified for the JEE Advanced. “In all, 15 students from our institute have figured in top 100 all-India ranks,” he said.

Allen Career Institute of Kota claimed that 15107 of its students qualified for the JEE Advanced. Naveen Maheshwari of Allen said 23 of their students ranked among top 100. “Rawal Vedant Sanjay and Ananya Sharma have bagged AIR Rank 4 and 10.”

Career Point Institute claimed that 3642 of its students have qualified for the JEE Advanced. Its director Shailendra Maheshwari said, “Our 4 students have grabbed all-India ranks in top 100.”

Ayush Kumar, Shrikrishn­a Shah, Srijit Kumar and Sameer Pandey have got AIR 14, 33, 48 and 68. From Bansal Classes, 1023 students qualified for the JEE Advanced. AK Tiwari, sen- ior vice president of Bansal Classes, said, “Our classroom student Asit Shrivastav­a bagged AIR 285, and distance learning students Mragank Raman and Irin Ghosh got AIR 183 and 185.”

Motion Education claimed the success of 2486 in JEE Mains. Its director Nitin Vijay said their 3 students ranked among top 100.

Senior manager of Vibrant Academy said their 2946 classroom students and 1013 from distance learning programmes qualified for JEE Advanced. He said their student Sooraj ranked among top 100.

Rao IIT claimed 952 students qualified for JEE Advanced and 3 among top 100. Aakash Institute claimed success of its 74 students. Brajesh Maheshwari, Allen director, said, “Kota has once again proved its supremacy in the JEE coaching”.

Around 10.20 lakh aspirants had taken JEE Mains on April 2, of whom CBSE has declared 221427 eligible to appear in JEE Advanced
