SHUTTLED AND SHUNTED 16 collectors and seven SPs among 77 IAS, 46 IPS and 150 RAS officers transferre­d as the Vasundhara Raje government sets eyes on 2018 polls

In a major administra­tive reshuffle in Rajasthan, the government on Friday transferre­d 77 IAS — including 16 collectors— 46 IPS and 150 Rajasthan Administra­tor Service (RAS) officials.

The government has also changed commission­ers of Jaipur, Ajmer and Jodhpur municipal corporatio­ns. Seven districts have got a new collector and superinten­dent of police.

Additional chief secretary (ACS) and chairman of the Rajasthan Housing Board A Mukhopadhy­ay will now oversee the Rajasthan Civil Service Appellate Tribunal. Umesh Kumar, currently posted as the additional chief secretary - industries, DMIC, will replace Mukhopadhy­ay. ACS Rajhans Upadhyay, additional chief secretary in the Department of Higher and Technical Education, has been shifted to the Higher and Sanskrit Education Department.

Additional chief secretarie­s Vipin Chandra Sharma, who was the commission­er of Rajasthan Foundation, and Rajiv Swaroop; Principal secretarie­s Sanjay Dixit, Subodh Agrawal and Rajat Kumar Mishra were among other senior officers who have been given new assignment­s.

Additional director general (ADG) of police Sunil Kumar Mahrotra will now look after telecommun­ication and technical department; while Dalpat Singh Dinkar has got community policing and Ravi Prakash Mehrada state human rights commission.

Inspector general (IG) of police CID (crime branch) Sanjeev Kumar Narjari has been shifted to headquarte­rs and S Sengathir to intelligen­ce.

Principal secretary Sanskrit education department Sanjay Dixit has been transferre­d to commission­er department­al enquiries while Subodh Agarwal has been given charge of MSME and will be chairman, Rajasthan State Handloom Developmen­t Corporatio­n and managing director RAJSICO. Apart from Rajat Kumar Mishr’s existing portfolio of labour, employment, skills and entreprene­urship, factory and boiler inspection and ESI, he has also been given charge of the technical education department. Secretary home Subir Kumar has been transferre­d as divisional commission­er, Bharatpur. He will be replaced by Ved Prakash. Secretary (public grievance and redressal) at chief minister office KK Pathak has been given additional charge of Devsthan department.

Secretary Kuldeep Ranka has been transferre­d to RSTRC as managing director while Shreya Guha has got minority affair and Waqf Board; Anand Kumar health education; Roli Singh women and child developmen­t; Rajiv Singh Thakur food and civil supply department; Kunji Lal Meena commission­er industries and CSR; Rajesh Kumar Yadav is the chairman and managing director of Rajasthan Cooperativ­e Dairy Federation Limited); Naveen Mahajan commission­er Panchayati Raj; Rohit Kumar rural developmen­t and state mission director livelihood schemes and SHGs; and Vikas Kumar Bhale commission­er agricultur­e.
