This has been prophesized as a helpful trick for centuries, as breaking things into smaller tasks not just makes the insurmountable work appear to be more reasonable and achievable, but also at the same time helps you reduce he feeling of being overwhelmed. Finally, completing smaller targets helps give a sense of achievement as well.

It is almost inevitable to have extraneous variables interfere with your planned schedule. Therefore, it is better for us to be prepared and account for certain extraneous factors that we cannot account for, in order to avoid panic or last minute stricken stress.

Temptations and distractions are the biggest enemy of following a schedule. Therefore, it is essential to eliminate as many such factors as possible. For instance, it is essential for students to put away their mobiles , and to avoid multi-tasking but to focus on the task at hand.

If you are wanting to avoid procrastinating, there has to be a goal which you are striving to achieve.

Instead of letting the goal surface in the background, it is more helpful to remind yourself of the contingency between your goal and the work needed to accomplish the same goal, in order to help boost your motivation each time you begin to slack.Remember, eventually there is no avoiding the task. Endless amount of planning, prioritizing and scheduling cannot substitute the actual task at hand. So, there is no escape for the effort and hard work that needs to be put in, and the sooner you get it over with, the easier the accomplishment of the goal is likely to be.
