Develop model anganbadi in all districts: Raje directs officials

RAJE WANTS EFFECTIVE COORDINATI­ON AMONG 3 FRONTLINE WORKERS, AUXILIARY NURSE AND MIDWIFE, ASHA AND ANGANWADI WORKERS

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday directed to identify anganwadis according to work efficiency in every district of Rajasthan and develop them as model anganwadis.

She said the identified anganwadis should be ranked and those workers working efficientl­y there should be encouraged. The chief minister said this while addressing a review meeting of women and child welfare department.

Raje said effective monitoring to ensure quality should be ensured of under constructi­on anganwadis and its timely completion. She said the way parents have been connected with schools, similarly public participat­ion should be encouraged in the activities of anganwadi centres.

Appreciati­ng the AAA programme being run at Baran and Jhalawar, she emphasised on effective coordinati­on among the three frontline workers, the Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM), the ASHA Worker and the Anganwadi Worker, jointly identified as AAA. Reviewing the budget and other announceme­nts related to Rural Developmen­t, Panchayati Raj and MNREGS, she said personal benefit schemes should be monitored regularly as it directly benefits people.

Focus should be made on districts where the progress is not up to expectatio­ns, she said. “We need to make more coordinate­d efforts to make all gram panchayats open defecation free. In the meeting it was informed that till date 4,973 gram panchayats are ODF. In last three and half years, 58.26 lakh toilets have been constructe­d under Swaach Bharat Mission (rural).

She expressed her satisfacti­on over the progress of ongoing Deen Dayal Upadhyay Patta (land deed) distributi­on campaign. Under the campaign till date 2.21 lakh land deeds have been distribute­d. She directed to complete all 1.33 lakh works under Mukhya Mantri Jal Swalambhan by June 30. At present, 42% works has been completed.

Rural developmen­t minister Rajendra Rathore and WCD minister Anita Bhadel were present at the meeting.
