MEHANT CHANDNATH, WHO HAVE NOT VISITED HIS CONSTITUENCY FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS DUE TO HEALTH PROBLEMS, HAS DECLARED BALAKNATH AS HIS SUCCESSOR

: The citizens of Alwar heaved a sigh of relief after getting the news that although their MP Mehant Chandnath is unwell, his successor Balaknath will come to Alwar next week to address their issues and meet BJP leaders and MLAs to discuss the utilisation of MPLAD funds.

Standing member of Parliament from Alwar, Mehant Chandnath, who have not visited his constituency for the past two and a half years due to his deteriorating health, declared Balaknath as his successor six months ago at Baba Mastnath Math of Rohtak, Haryana.

Since he hasn’t yet recovered, Chandnath has declared his religious successor Balaknath as his political representative, who will address issues of the people of Alwar. In the last three years, out of the available ₹15 crores, only ₹37 lakhs have been used for the development works from the MPLAD funds.

Balaknath now has been given the responsibility of ensuring proper usage of these funds. After Alwar city, his next stop will be Behror.

Last month, Balaknath listened to problems of Neemrana residents and attended the zila parishad meeting as a representative of Alwar MP.

Balaknath’s regular engagement with the people can open doors in his political career. This could also lead him to present his claim for his candidacy for the seat of Behror MLA in the next assembly polls.

Mehant Chandnath had entered politics by becoming the MLA from Behror and later was elected an MP from Alwar. Currently, Dr Jaswant Yadav is the Alwar MLA and is also a cabinet minister in Rajasthan. Balaknath’s candidacy from Behror could lead the way for Dr Yadav to be presented as BJP’s MP candidate from Alwar.
