A 23-year-old woman working with a telecom company in Jaipur has alleged that she was dragged into a car by her boss and his friend from outside her hostel and assaulted, police said.

Though the incident took place late Wednesday night, it was not reported in the media.

Based on a complaint filed by the woman, an FIR against the two accused has been registered at Shipra Path police station. According to the police, the woman alleged once inside the car her boss said that he wanted to marry her and when she refused, he assaulted her.

The accused had driven the car for around 600 metres before she somehow managed to open the door of the vehicle and leap out, said officials.

“The incident happened after 9:30pm on Wednesday when the woman’s boss reached her hostel and asked her to come down on pretext of some work. He asked the woman to enter the car where another man, identified as Apurv, was sitting inside,” said Jagdish Prasad Ojha, sub-inspector, Shipra Path police station. The police said that the main accused, identified as Vishal, asked the woman to marry him to which she declined. The men then started beating her and increased the volume of the car stereo so that no one could hear her screams,” said the police.

She reached the police station after midnight and lodged a case against both the men,” said Ojha.

The woman was from Bikaner and working in a telecom company in Jaipur. “Both the accused are absconding and a search has been initiated to find them. Further investigation is on in the matter,” he said.
