Will waive 50% interest on farm loans, says Raje
SOPS Farmers can get loan at 2% to store their produce in state cooperative godowns
In a major sop to the agrarian community, the Rajasthan government has announced a one-time 50 per cent relaxation on interest on overdue loans taken by the farmers. To promote farmers to store their produce in state cooperative godowns, chief minister Vasundhara Raje also announced a loan scheme with 2% interest rate.
Raje also announced that time limit for applying for an agricultural electricity connection on the land owned by a martyr’s family has been annulled. She also declared to construct 96 warehouses having a storage capacity of 100 metric tonnes for village cooperatives under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana. She was addressing the state level function on the 71st Independence Day at Sawai Man Singh Stadium.
Raje also announced a scheme under which low-interest loans worth Rs 200 crore will be disbursed among women associated with cooperative committees. About 3.5 lakh women would be benefitted by this. In addition to it, a special bonus was announced for women milk-producer cooperatives.
“Team Rajasthan is working towards economic and social freedom and gradually these are coming true under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi... True Independence is possible only when people progress, every child is educated, medical treatment is provided at no cost, there are employment opportunities and everyone gets justice,” she said.
Raje also inaugurated the Rajasthan Sampark Helpline ‘181’ for registration of public grievances and problems and ensure time bound redressal. She said it was a step “towards satisfactory resolution of complaints of people regarding road, power, water, issuance of documents and certificates.”
The CM also scaled up the implementation of Annapurna Rasoi Yojana, a scheme for supply of cooked food at minimum rates, to all urban localities in the state. She further said that in the third phase of Gramim Gaurav Path Scheme, construction of about 2,000 concrete roads or missing links would be taken up beginning November this year. She said Rs 1200 crore has already been earmarked for the project while another Rs 1500 crore would be granted in the next fiscal.
“The New Rajasthan is moving towards becoming a prosperous society, which is free of corruption, racism, foeticide, illiteracy and poverty. We have to create a Rajasthan, which is young and modern, a Rajasthan which we envisaged in our vision document presented before the public on December 13, 2013,” she said.
Raje called upon the youth to join politics with positive mindset, true loyalty and passion to make Rajasthan a leading state of the nation.
She urged the people of the state to take active part in the development of the country and the state.
“We are all united to work towards the reform of India and by 2022 free the country from the evils such as corruption, terrorism, communalism, poverty and casteism,” Raje said.
She claimed that 1.08 lakh people had got jobs in the government sector and 11 lakh in the private sector through skill development.
“Rajasthan today is fast becoming a digital state and the digi-fest will be organised in various cities of the state, Raje said, adding that the fest will start in Kota on August 17.
On the occasion, she spoke on the Dravyavati River Rejuvenation Project, the tribal art museum and the street food corners being developed in Jaipur.
