The Jaipur police on Monday arrested three Madhya Pradesh residents, who were involved in at least a dozen instances of burglary in Rajasthan and other states.

According to the police, a special team was constituted to check increasing numbers of burglaries.

Deputy commissioner of police, east, Kunwar Rashtradeep said that three suspicious men were seen during night patrolling on Monday near Transport Nagar and Kho Nagoriyan, who tried to run away after being spotted by the police.

The police said that the men were caught and brought to the police station for questioning following which the cops came to know about the burglaries committed by them.

“The three men are members of the Pardi gang, which commits thefts and burglaries in various places across the country. After interrogating the three accused, we came to know that they have committed such crimes in various districts of Rajasthan and also in Delhi,” said additional deputy commissioner of police, east, Hanuman Prasad.

He added that all three accused had a unique way of committing the crimes.

“The men would board buses or trains and travel to other cities and then got to the outskirts of such places. They would then target houses where the occupants were not at home and return to their hometown, at times on the same day after the burglary,” said Prasad.

The accused have been identified as Ambar, Babbar Singh and Purushottam.

“We are interrogating the accused to know more about their past crimes,” said the police.

The accused have also confessed to being involved in picking pockets and stealing luggage of people travelling in trains in Delhi.
