Govt engineer abducted in Arunachal Pradesh

A government engineer has been abducted by suspected ULFA(I) militants from Bordumsa in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district, police said on Wednesday. Bedanta Kumar Sinha, a resident engineer of the National Highway Infrastruc­ture Developmen­t Corporatio­n Limited, was abducted from his house on Sunday, Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Nabin Payeng said. The engineer hails from Bihar and has been living here for a month. “We are yet to establish the identity of the group but we suspect it could be the handiwork of ULFA (I),” police said.
