Govt employees thank CM for benefits

GOVERNANCE JAIPUR:

Representa­tives of the employees’ unions on Wednesday met chief minister Vasundhara Raje at her official residence in Jaipur and expressed gratitude for implementi­ng recommenda­tions of the 7th pay commission.

The chief minister’s announced to implement the 7th pay commission’s recommenda­tion in Rajasthan on the occasion of Dhanteras on Tuesday. The decision will benefit 12 lakh employees of the state, at the same time putting an additional annual burden of ₹850 crore on the state exchequer. The government employees will get the increased salary from October.

Officials of the employees’ unions including Akhil Rajasthan Rajya Karamchari Mahasangh (Ekikrat) and Akhil Rajasthan Rajya Karamchari Sanyukt Mahasangh (Ekikrat) thanked the chief minister for the “Diwali gift”.

“Chief minister has given a memorable gift to the employees on the occasion of Deepawali and she has fulfilled what she had promised. She has always taken care of the employees’ interests and I not only hope but have complete faith that she will maintain such blessings in future too,” said Yash Pratap Singh, the state president of Akhil Rajasthan Rajya Karamchari Sanyukt Mahasangh (Ekikrat).

Raje said employees should keep the general people happy by providing better services. “If common man remains happy then there will be real prosperity in the state,” she said. Extending her wishes to the employees, Raje said, “I had promised to implement the recommenda­tions of 7th pay commission in 2017-18 budget and I feel happy in fulfilling the same on this auspicious occasion.” She said the government considers its employees as the backbone of good governance and is completely sensitive towards their interests and welfare.

Akhil Rajasthan Rajya Karamchari Sanyukt Mahasangh (Ekikrat) state president Mahendra Singh, Rajasthan Nurses Associatio­n state president Rajendra Rana, Prabodhak Sangh vice president Vikas Sharma, Takniki Karamchari Sangh state general secretary Surendra Singh Shekhawat, Prathmik-Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh state president Shashi Bhushan Sharma, Sachivalay­a Karamchari Sangh president Abhimanyu Sharma and Rajasthan Jan Swasthya Abhiyantri­ki Takniki Karamchari Sangh state general secretary Raj Kumar Kayasth were also present on the occasion.
