More than 18,000 people had applied for the job out of which 18 were appointed after a rigorous selection process involving a written examination and interview.
The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly had issued a notification for the recruitment of class IV employee and asked the interested candidates to apply online by October 11, 2017. A class IV employee basically does the job of a peon.
The final appointment list published on the Rajasthan Assembly website shows that Ramkrishna Meena (roll no. 15202) is among one of the 18 candidates selected for the post of probationer trainee in the SC/ST category. His father Jagdish Narayan Meena is the MLA from Jamwa Ramgarh constituency in Jaipur district.
He will be earning a monthly salary of Rs 12,490 during the twoyear probation period. After successful completion of the probationary period, he will be entitled to L-1 pay matrix.
“My son has only cleared class 10, so there is nothing wrong with him becoming a class IV employee,” MLA Meena told HT.

influence. “He has been selected on merit and not because of my position as an MLA. If I wanted to use my contacts, I could have got him a better job,” Meena said.
Sources said that the minimum academic qualifications to be eligible for applying for the class IV employee post in Assembly secretariat was class V pass; however, there was such a huge demand for the government job that people with MBA and other postgraduate degrees had also applied.
An Assembly secretariat employee, who did not wish to be named said, “No rules have been violated in appointing an MLA’s son.”
A total of 14 people belonging to the general category and four belonging to SC/ST category have been appointed as class IV employee.
Reacting to charges of anomalies in the recruitment of class IV employees in Assembly secretariat, PCC president Sachin Pilot demanded a high-level inquiry and alleged that state BJP was indulging in nepotism.
