EXMINISTER BOOKED IN ROYAL PROPERTY DISPUTE

-

Bundi police has lodged a case against former union minister Bhanwar Jitendra Singh and two others for allegedly claiming rights over the erstwhile Bundi royal family’s properties with forge documents.

The case was registered on Thursday after verifying a complaint by Avinash Chandra Chandna, a resident of Delhi.

Kotwali police station SHO Ramnath Singh said a complaint was received against Jitendra Singh and two others alleging that they used forged documents to show the erstwhile Bundi royal properties in name of a trust. Owner of properties Rao Ranjeet Singh had declared Chandna as his successor, the police said. He said the investigation was on and a case under IPC section 420, 406, 467, 468, 471, and 120B has been registered.

In the complaint, Chandna alleged that late Rao Ranjeet Singh of Bundi declared him as successor to the properties. Ranjeet was the brother of Jitendra’s mother Mahendra Kumari.

Chandna said: “Ranjeet, died in 2010, and was married to Durga Devi. They had no children. Ranjeet was a close friend and spent last days at my residence. He registered the properties in my name on March 30, 2009 in Delhi.”

He also alleged that Jitendra Singh and others under a conspiracy through forge documents made trust deed stating that Ranjeet named his share of properties in name of a trust of which Jitendra is trustee. HTC
