School stabbing: Principal arrested for negligence
Soon after chief minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Class 1 student who was stabbed by a senior girl student, the Lucknow police arrested the school principal and co-director Rachit Manas on Thursday.
The principal of Bright Land School is accused of negligence in ensuring safety of students on the school premises and not informing the incident to the police for over 24 hours.
Yogi visited the trauma centre to take stock of the medical facilities being provided to Hrithik and interacted with the boy and his parents. He even directed the SSP to supervise the case as it was sensitive in nature.
Agitated parents staged a demonstration against the school authorities and demanded stern action in the case.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP), Lucknow, Deepak Kumar said Manas had been arrested and would be produced before the court.
He said the statement of the 12-year-old suspect, a student of Class 7, had been recorded and she would be produced before the juvenile justice board (JJB).
