IN SUPPORT PCC chief campaigns for the party candidate in Ajmer where Lok Sabha bypoll is scheduled on Jan 29 Annadata (farmer) is under great distress and the chief minister has no time to resolve their problems
SACHIN PILOT, PCC chief
Congress state unit president Sachin Pilot on Saturday accused the Vasundhara Raje government of doing nothing for farmers in the past four years and dividing people on caste lines.
The former union minister made the comments while campaigning for Raghu Sharma, Congress candidate in Ajmer Lok Sabha segment bypoll scheduled on January 29.
The bypoll in Ajmer has been necessitated following the demise of BJP MP Sanwar Lal Jat. Ramswarup Lamba, the son of former union minister Jat, is BJP nominee in Ajmer.
Pilot is intensively touring the constituency to reach out to maximum number of people. On Saturday, he held road shows and meetings in Pisangan, Rajagarh, Bijolia and Nasirabad areas. He raised the farmers loan waiver issue and charged the government with neglecting the farmers. “Annadata (farmers) is under great distress and the chief minister has no time to resolve their problems,” said Pilot. Pilot also alleged that chief minister Raje, who “failed on delivery front”, is now playing caste card for electoral gain.
AJMER:
“Despite a very huge mandate, she did nothing to wipe tears of poor and sensing that her ‘chair’ is in danger, she is dividing people on caste lines to win election,” he said.
He urged the people to vote on issues of development and not fall in the BJP’s trap.
“Vote for the candidate who can raise your issues in parliament,” he said.
Meanwhile, chief minister Raje visited Bahirav Dham in Rajagarh and took blessings from temple’s head priest Champala Maharaj.
Later, she held a road show in Nasirabad and met party leaders in Ajmer to take feedback about the ongoing electioneering.
Bypolls are also scheduled in Alwar Lok Sabha constituency and Mandalgarh assembly segment on January 29.
